Accidently shot himself..

My co-worker has a buddy that has been having problems with his Glock 27 extracting rounds. He was asking me yesterday about it. Hes an armorer also. He was suppose to get the gun last night for us to look at but it didnt work out.

Well this morning we got a call that his friend had shot himself while apparently trying to eject a round.

I know he didn't handle it safely this time, but just a reminder to be very careful when working on these things as the consequences can be horrible.

You always hate to hear of something like this happening. My prayers go out to him and his family...

Hope he'll be alright. This is why I like that all SIGs are hammer-fired. You can see if and when it will go off.

I hope he gets better and that it wasn't a serious wound. It would also be good to hear if you are able to find the problem with the extraction, if that is still something on the table.

I worked with a guy once until he stopped coming to work, found out he quit after he shot himself in the leg. He said he was oiling the hammer to his revolver, knowingly with ammo in the cylinder, the hammer slipped and the round entered by his knee and exited near the ankle.
