New wood for the 9mm 1911

Had these in the safe waiting for a 9mm 1911 grip to put them on and now their wait is over. I needed to make an ambidexterous safety cut so they would fit and I finally got around to rolling out the router table. Done!

They are Amboyna Burl from The Finer Grain and Sarge's Grips and they feel wonderful. I chose them because I like the way the burl on the bottom half transitions to a more of a traditional grain pattern at the top.

Theres just something about wood grips on a 1911 that makes a world of a difference. Youve got a nice looking gun there. Happy shooting!

They look great Reliable.

Now you just need a SIG 1911 to go with another set.

Very very nice looking grips..wow..they sure do set off the otherwise, homely gun! Just joking..about homely, anyway

Niiiiice! Those things are stunning!

The black carbon fiber & golfball dimples & tacticool logo nonsense just doesn't do a thing for me.

Those.... talk about wood!
