My p220 stainless elite came up with a mag problem or a cartridge problem.I am leaning to a problem with Remington UMC. They would not even fit in the mag.I've miked them every direction from heavan and found NO discrepencies. I contacted Sig and they said to send in the mags for inspection.I contacted Remington and they said send the ammo back for inspection.Well I shot the ammo out a Springy 1911 and the Sig has had no further problems.Figure that one.Anyone else seen that?

The UMC line of Remington ammo I have found to be very inconsistent. Even within the same box some ammo I have found the OAL to vary a lot. I would think you got a box that had some different OAL ammo in it. |

I usually shoot WWW, Blazer Brass, or Federal Champion. However, the UMC that I have shot never had any problems like you described.

I've fired UMC ammo in 9mm, .40 S&W, and .45ACP, in various brands of pistols including Sig, Para, Glock, S&W, Browning, and HK, to name a few. Bought my first box so far back I have no idea how many years that covers. Never had a hint of problems as described. But I'm only one person and maybe I'm just luckier than some others. About all I can say is, I clean my weapons every time I fire them, and at least once a month if unfired. Regardless of what I've heard from other shooters about doing that, I believe that doing so has prevented issues I've read about, but never experienced. So that's my .02 cents worth.
