For me, overall I like checkered wood grips. Not only do they look good, they "stick" a little better for me... I'm not a real fan of rubber, though they grip pretty well and are comfortable, they have a tendency to stick to my clothes if I have it in an inside the pants holster. For looks, I like a fancy wood grip or those carbon fiber grips. Pearl grips look nice but they're just a little too slippery for me. How about you?

I haven't really experienced a lot of different grips. Primarily rubber (Hogue) and I've always loved them. Wouldn't mind trying out some other stuff though if I had some cash to throw around. Good grips aren't cheap!

I am really fond of my Hogue grips now. I don't mind the plastic grips that came on my gun, but I'm not in love with them. I would have to say overall I like checkered wood grips. There's so many different types of wood that all accent the gun in a different way, it's very attractive on a gun and functional, but expensive for good ones.

I'm with you, p229r, I like wood grips. I only have two handguns with them, but I like them the best.

Hogue & Pachmayr do it for me. I also splurge on stainless Hex-head grip screws, as I hate seeing burred screws on a nice gun. Fancy wood, Pearl, Stag, Carbon Fiber, Aluminum, etc. save for Display. I prefer Function over flash; my Designer clothes are Carhartt.

I like Grips with Rough Texture or super sticky.... Blood, Sweat, Water, I want a solid grip...

Sig Aluminums dont do this, nor do woods.

I like Houge grips on single stacks but on Sig double stacks they just dont feel right for my hand size.

I've absconded with others ideas of putting grip tape on the front strap. Some use skateboard tape ( fine grit ) I use tread tape ( agressive grit, found at Lowes) for mine. It'll bit into gloves and grip into skin when wet, great stuff. Mine has never come loose, but removing all oil from the frame is important. This also protects the front strap from knicks and gouges from folks who wear rings.

I've got it on the three below P225, P228 & Sig Moqsuito!

That's a very nice job with the grip tape...

I changed my plastic to Equinox grips & love them. They fit my large hands perfectly.
