I disagree with the comment that the LC9 is the biggest piece of junk that Ruger ever made. I find it a very good, well made firearm that serves the concealed carry requirements for many people. Some people don't like or can't adjust to the long double action trigger pull. That's not a problem for me. I respect the opinion of someone that just doesn't like the LC9, but its not because it is a piece of junk.

Please give Glock's G36 a look! Single-stack 45ACP, often overlooked, but generally loved by those who carry it down dangerous streets. Caution: early models had some teething problems, mainly with magazine followers. Mine is from 2007, and anything newer than that is fine. My other most often carried piece is Glock's G39 in 45 GAP, and when shorts are worn; the Ruger LCP. Good luck in your choice. |

XDS 45ACP or Sig 250. I don't have a Sig P250 but the Springer XDS I do and I love for its small, concealable, accurate and dependable killing power. But I never turn down a Sig either.

I really don't like the ergonomics of the baby glocks. They do not point well for me and the triggers feel like crap. I've shot the .40 cal sub compact glock and was not impressed.

Again, I will say it. I do NOT like the subcompact Glocks. As such, they are NOT included in the listing.

I have a Kahr CM9 that has bee 100% right outa the box. A real comfortable shooter as well. Considering I don't want an expensive carry that gets beat up, or if ever needed get taken by the police. The Kahr works for me. Later I got a 938 purely out of lust. After a rocky start, it is working now. |

Glock 30/36 are closer in size to G19 than subcompacts like G26. SA XD/XDm subcompacts are ugly as sin, but are also great shooters. I can't vote on any of your poll options though. |

p229 sas or Walther p5. Both great DA/SA handguns, surprisingly accurate, concealable, dependable. Last edited by GreyCoupe; 12-04-2012 at 06:16 PM. |

I carried a SW MP340 for years. It was the lightest and most comfortable gun to carry I have owned. With 357 loads it was a handful. We did have to follow up a wounded black bear with it. It is a very potent package. Went from that to a Ruger SP101. Good gun but to heavy for my tastes. I now carry an XDs. I love it. I have 600 rounds through it without a single FTF. It is also very accurate. |

My thought, if you truly intend pocket carry, you should consider DAO. I worry about the cocked and locked status of then p238 or p938 (I own a 938) in true pocket. Pocket holster puts me a little more at ease. Shield too big for pocket and if you use safety it may be an issue in a high stress situation. I personally love striker fired guns, but would be concerned about carrying in the pocket and only would consider for holstered carry. So that leave me to the DAO. To me little Keltec=ouch, love the Kahrs, but $$$ and if you do shoot someone say good bye to you gun, J fame nice but again more money. I have both p290 and lcp, both in my mind would be great for the application, but as always YMMV. The simplicity of the lcp and super smooth surfaces, great trigger and shoot ability would be my choice.
