Sig Sauer vs Glock Beef

Sirsigalot here:
What's going family is it me or are you guys also getting tired of all this Sig vs Glock beef. I mean really people are treating this as if this is some HEAVY WEIGHT FIGHT between two prizes fighters when in reality there's only one undisputed champion in the ring with a BUM as the challenger. Don't get me wrong I respect Glock an all but tryin to pick a fight with Sig is like Mike Tyson in his prime knocking everyone out.

What's your comments.

Yeah, the SIG vs. Glock argument is getting really old! If you like Glocks, more power to you. If you perfer SIGs, great. But saying one is better than the other and bashing the brand you don't like is immature and ignorant. I can give you very long lists of law enforcement agencies and military forces that use both pistols, and both pistols have good records of performance under arduous combat conditions. If they weren't good pistols those organizations would not be using them. I happen to prefer SIGs for a number of reasons, and think overall, they're better pistols, but I'm not about to call the Glock a piece of crap. If Glocks were crap pistols, they wouldn't be carried by 60% of law enforcement officers in this country.

You had me right up to where you said "there's only one undisputed champion" and announced it's the Sig.

Seems like you're doing exactly what you're complaining everyone else is doing.

I love my Sig but life is short. I don't waste my breath getting into Sig vs Glock any more than I bother with that Chevy vs Ford or Miller vs Bud silliness.

There are a lot of great guns out there. Sig and Glock happen to be two of them. To each their own.

I have both and they are both terrific pistols but I prefer my SIGs and Walther PPQ. My Glock 19 is not going anywhere as I am definitely keeping it.

My Glock is a Gen 2 Glock 19. I have to say I am pretty dissapointed with what I have read about the 4th generation Glocks. Much of the allure with Glocks is that they just worked out of the box and worked extremely well for a long period of time. Now Apex is making a third party extractor for Glock Gen 4 so that they work as they should. Apex would not be doing such unless the problem was somewhat significant.

Own both and like them both. P226 and a G19. Took my nephew out and let him shoot both--he likes the SIG more. Both are accurate and work well. Only complaints on my gen 3 are the slide catch is too small and the mag release and so-so trigger.

Almost all of those issues can be addressed, though.

Like choosing between blueberry pie and cherry pie. I have a Glock 19 (gen 3) and
Sigs 239,225,228, and 226.

They both do the job very well. You can also add M&P , XD, any HK. All personal preference.

If I find a hell of a buy on either, I'm in.
Odds are if you can shoot one you can shoot the other.
They're both well made. They both work as billed.
Pick you favorite and have fun. Or own both. I see no dilemma here.

Two things I'm sure we can agree with is SIGS make lousy Crowbars and Glocks make lousy hammers.

Glock Vs Sig

I have never owned a Glock and I am in the process of becoming a Sig owner, so I can't tell you which is better. However, I can say that I would trust a gun made out of all steel, than one made out of half polymer and steel.

You probably drive a car from the '70's due to them being constructed entirely of steel as well? Polymers are extremes durable.

Sir, I will drink to that.

But only with a craft-brewed beer, because that tepid dishwater Bud calls "beer" sucks.
