About a year and some months ago I got this Ruger Super Redhawk 5" Toklat in 454 Casull. The picture was taken by a dealer friend who sold it for me last March, he's a great photographer. Selling was a mistake because I liked it so much. On Monday I found a new one on GB and committed to the Layaway.

I sure hope that the next governor of South Carolina will do something to recognize Alabama CC permits. A whole lot of Southern states do but not the state in which I was born!

CZ 75B Compact. Nice trigger, soft recoil, accurate shooter, miserable sights. Need to get those changed if I decide to keep the gun.

Most recent non-Sig was a Ruger SR22 (4.5 inch barrel) for plinking and before that was a Ruger LCP Custom for deep conceal.

Bought a Glock 23 based on many of my friends constantly telling me how good they were.
I put about 1000 rounds through it.

I must say that it was a very very solid feeling gun. It felt almost like a dead blow hammer, absolutely no vibration...

Overall I ended up liking it more than I expected but I didnt like the grip angle.
Compared to Sigs and my other pistols it made me feel like I had to "push it down over the top" to align the sights properly.

I sold it after a few weeks and replaced it with p229

It's a key/wrench for the adjustable gas block. You can see the extra gap in the handguard for access to the block. Or the knob is slotted on the front for a long screwdriver.

Recently

Two weeks ago, a 1974 Browning Citori 12 ga. 26" barrel and a 1957 Winchester Model 70, 30.06 with a Leuopold 3-9X40 scope.

Just got the Winchester back from the gunsmith for deep cleaning, inspection, scope mounting and bore sighting, this evening.

A 227 or a 220 is on the horizon.
