Good to hear that. Concealed carry should be allowed everywhere in my opinion, especially in Texas. I used to live in Mission and worked in Weslaco. With all the cartel members there, threats are likely.

I'm for it. I don't care about how "it makes you a target". I'd like to be able to open carry a sidearm when I'm hunting. On top of which: it should be a basic freedom, anyway.

I'd like to see it pass, for the simple reason that IWB is more uncomfortable than OWB.

I've heard it's been proposed a couple times now and hasn't passed. Anyone know if that's true and if it has a better chance this time?

Seems strange this can't pass in Texas.

Virginia is open carry but you rarely see anyone doing it except during hunting season

I think it would be a positive. open or conceal carry here in NC. The best thing about it is if you print alittle it's no big deal

I am all for it on the basis that if you just happen to print or expose your weapon, you wouldn't face reprocussions.

Haven't heard anything about it. I'm in the north DFW area. I'm from AZ originally. Remember seeing people with sidearms in Safeway and other ordinary locations. Whatever. I do recall wondering should I keep my pistol on the dashboard or seat vs. keeping it under the seat. If I'm not mistaken, back then concealed carry was illegal, but not open.

Wow Texas cant? In Virginia we can however nobody really does. I don't like the idea of open carry as it makes you a target. There was a man a few years back that lost his life to some thugs because he made himself a target doing just that.
