I have a Volt II and an Echo, both designed by Ken Onion. The Blackout kinda looks like a hybrid of those. Nice knife.

I recently acquired three Benchmade Mini Ambush serrated knives (for $20 apiece in the package - was a Benchmade fire sale!), and I've been carrying one of them from time to time. By far the sharpest blade I have, and so light I don't even know it's there!

It's a 3" blade - the picture doesn't do it justice.

I'm a big fan of benchmade. Before I moved to the socialist republic of TX I carried a Pardue auto everyday. I also recently bought a new boar skinner, well two one with and one without a gut hook. Love this little knife, only dissapointment is the sheath.

Just picked up a Blackout today. Think it's going to get carried a lot.

Edc

Primary EDC is Spyderco Delica with aftermarket Emerson Wave dremeled in. For those of you who have not seen the emerson in action i highly recommend it.

Secondary is a Spyderco Caly 3. I have not added an emerson to this as I'm not sure how the ZDP189 will take to cutting...

Pictures to come...

Yeah the emerson doesn't refer to the knife itself. Its a little notch that you have put into the back of the blade. It catches your pants pocket on the way out and opens the blade. The knife in the video is big but you can put it on much smaller blades.

Benchmade mini barage. Has done me right for 3 years now. It holds an edge well. I love Benchmades. They are like the Sigs of knives.

I picked up three Mini Ambushes for $20 apiece in a closeout sale by Benchmade. Awesome little knives. I don't carry one every day because it's actually TOO sharp for my tastes.

I carry this Cheap S&W. Its big, heavy, and bulky! It doesn't keep an edge well, and it's made in china. Obviously I am looking for a new knife. I do like the spring assist opening though! I just recently cut some power wires on a dishwasher (thinking I turned the power off, but I didn't) and it arced like crazy on the blade and did some good damage to it... I actually stopped carrying it for a while because it kept giving me problems when shutting it. A little gun oil and it works great now!

the damage
