I took my new 226 Legion out to the local range for some test firing. I also brought along a new P320C in 45acp that I've been waiting to shoot. I shot about 150 round from the region and 100 rounds from the 320. Temps were in the high 20's. I tried with an without gloves and at times the pad on my trigger finger was numb. Photos are as follows: 15 rounds slow fire single action, 15 rounds slow fire single action(pulled or flinched on 2), 15 rounds slow fire all double action, 30 rounds rapid fire. All from 5 yards.

This is my first 226 and I must say that I really like it. The trigger is very nice. The ergonomics are spot on for my hands and grip.

Can't wait till it warms up and I can shot without shaking from the cold.

Can anyone purchase a Legion hand gun? From what I gather my local shop would have to order one for me.

If you are of legal age, in a state that permits you to have a handgun with "high capacity" magazines, and if you the background check, oh, and if you have the $$$...

Yes, anyone can buy one.

Tell me about the trigger on you SAO. Is that the stock trigger?

Edit- answered my own question.

Nothing new- just a stock Legion, but I bet that I bought mine new at the lowest price- $975. Anybody else with a super deal?
Do they make ergonomic base plates like that for the 226? I hate the boring steel pads.

Look at the post right above yours. The two mags in the mag cutouts. You can buy 226 mags with rubber on the bottom. It is a little different than the basic all metal bases. I got them from Top Gun. Not really ergonomic.

Here are pics of the two style mags. The rubber base ones are made in Italy and have phosphate finish.
Top Gun also has some Mec-Gar 13 round ones with what looks to be a plastic base. I might get a couple to try out.
