Howdy from TEXAS

Just got here, been looking for a companion for my Rock Island 1911, it's lonely!
I'm a Cowboy Shooter for 12 years and a custom Leathercrafter (Holsters). Shot a little IDPA until the local club moved from their outdoor range to a indoor one. I really didn't like shooting inside, loud, dirty, couldn't breathe after a match. Will move in a couple of months to an area that has quite a few IDPA clubs and didn't really want to shoot the 1911 for IDPA. Been searching for a 9mm that's reliable and accurate
Boy there's alot of pistols out there! My local Gun Shop owner has always told me that a Sig is the way to go but the price of a Sig has scared me off! Had a Ruger P-95 for awhile, good gun just didn't really like it that much so sold it. Been doing a internet search for a couple of months now and found some Police Trade-in P226's at a good price. Thing I'm going to get one!! Just thought I'd check out this forum and see what Sig owners have to say.

I LOVE My ROCK!!! shoots hardball ammo fine, haven't tried HP's but then Armscor says up front to use FMJ rounds. I have shot FMJ's and lead round nose no problems! I'll also give Chip McCormack Mags a shout-out!
