Hello from East Tennessee

Hello Everyone! I'm new to the forum and my name's Glenn. Jo (wife), Allie (dog) and I live about half way between Knoxville and Chattanooga Tennessee in a little place known as Ten Mile. It's far enough out in the sticks that you can't buy fast food and get home before it's cold, but we like it here anyway. I retired in '05 and have spent most of my time on the boat (summertime), working in the yard (bout got it all done now), or working on my hot rod (never-ending project).

I carried a duty weapon (SIG P226, P228, P220) to, at, and from work, I've had a carry permit, as does Jo, since they started that in TN and we both occasionally carried (SIG P229, P238, AMT Backup 45) when we thought it necessary. I guess I've either watched too much news, or I'm getting too old and becoming a pessimist but it seems like those "necessary" times have become "always" now. I'm considering getting a couple of new pistols and, from my hot rod experience, feel that a good forum can be an excellent source for a lot of valuable information. I've been lurking here for a while, liked what I saw, and thought I'd join the forum.

Glenn

Welcome from Kansas Glenn. I hear you on the never ending project and it is also a labor of love. We have a car that we show and it's never ending the amount of things that need to be done. The winter time is usually really busy. I still find time to shoot as much as possible.

Safe shooting.

The Hot Rod is an '81 Camaro Sport Coupe. Had it since '88 and use to be a daily driver but now drive it once or twice a week when I don't have it in the garage doing something to it. It has a mild 454 bbc, TH350c, 2.56 10 bolt rear, Guldstrand slalom springs, & 275/40ZR17 Michelins on 17x9 steel wheels. It's fun to drive!
