Hello From Tampa

New to the forum and new to guns...learning all I can. My neighbor found out I was interested in getting a gun for protection during my business travels. I never knew he was into guns until we started talking about them and I saw his collection. The next day he took me to our local indoor range and I shot about 8 different guns.

I found a new hobby! I never thought wanting a gun to keep in the car and have in hotels would turn into me wanting this and that and reading everything I can about guns.

I took a private lesson, joined the range, took the CCW class, got my license in the mail yesterday. In the meantime I bought a Glock G27 .40 subcompact. I bought the Glock because a few people that new more than me said get this gun...so I did. It shots great, I shoot it accurately, but after renting other subcompact guns it doesn't fit my hand as well.

My wife has now decided to get into shoot too and her job now has her traveling a lot. So she goes up to the local store/range and picks out a M&P9c with Crimson Trace laser. She is taking a Lady's Class and private lesson and CCW class. Her M&P feels better in my hand than my Glock!

So, the other day I rented a Sig P226 .40. I loved it. Most accurate gun I shot besides my friend $3k Wilson Combat! I also rented a HK45 and shot it well too.

I'm interested in getting a Sig P226 Navy but they seem hard to find. Plus I'll probably get the HK45 too and then a shotgun.

Smile Welcome

From a fellow Tampa member welcome to the forum.
I think you will find the Sigs to shoot better than most other guns, and you should find one that fits with their extensive line .
