New Sig Owner Finally!!!

Hello Everyone - I am glad to be a part of the Family now. Last January I took my Conceal Carry Class and the instructor had a Sig P229. It was instant Love once I got to hold it. My buddy also had a Sig P2022 9mm that I got to shoot. Sigs just feel so nice and shoot so well.

Glad to be here finally!!

yep another new guy

Recently ran across an M400 and couldn't say no. I found this forum while doing some research on additional uppers I might add to get around the current 5.56 crisis. In first firing I ran into some issue I never saw in the army with the A deuce and noted another new user here had similar issues so I will be tracking him down shortly I have a lotta years shooting experience I am eager to share, and plenty of questions. I'm glad to be involved with yall.

New Guy from NC

Hi Folks,Corey

Just got my first semi-auto pistol - P226 DAK. Have not fired it yet, but very impressed with balance and trigger pull. Hope to glean lessons from all of you on the forum.

$33 is about the cheapest you'll find.
Were they in stock?

Just joined from Texas, Maryland, Indiana and Ohio

Thanks for the quick "Hello's"
Got back into firearms after the Newtown disaster and subsequent media hyper-reaction..
I won't be able to be here much, but thanks for being here.
I have owned a Sig P220 for about 30 years. This is a 9mm with 9rd magazine, lanyard clip and very rust-prone slide.. It was sold to me by a reputable gun dealer as an East Berlin ex-police weapon. No reason to doubt it, bought after the Berlin Wall came down. More accurate than I can shoot and a nice single-action trigger pull. Double action trigger is a genuine safety.
I'm signed up for a CCW class in 6 days where I will qualify in single action mode. I'm going to practice with the objective of maxing the test, but I really have no talent for accurate shooting, so that is simply a goal. I passed the CCW class here in Texas about 15-20 years ago but didn't follow up and actually get the license. Didn't trust my temper at the time. I do now.
I also own an AR-15 Sporter, 1979. Just got a red dot reflex sight for same. What a wonderful optic that is! Remington 788 in .308 with original 4X scope, Remington 870 12g with an 18 in barrel. Browning Buckmark .22. Beretta .25cal. JC Higgins .22 semiauto with tubular magazine and original.22 scope (abomination, the scope not the gun) and a .44 S&W Charter Arms Bulldog.
I'll try to check in weekly to basically "sight-see".
Sure hope the price of ammo goes down. Sooner, rather than later. Can't believe that .22LR is going for over 50 cents @!
Going to be a busy week what with practicing with the Sig, retouching sights on same, a Photoshop project with an impending deadline and working to afford the ammo.
Later, and stay strong.
