My name is April and I just bought my first gun EVER. It's a P290 and even though it wasn't in pink it as fit my hand and felt great to held.. I have probably went through 30 rounds but we didn't have much ammo to choose from at our local store. I didn't realize that the grip plates are interchangeable when I bought it but have been searching and searching and searching and I can't find them anywhere so I am a little disappointed. I am also left handed but right eye dominant so I am adjusting to which way works better for me. I'm having some surgery today so I won't be doing any shooting this weekend or next week  . But keep you posted as I do. Hope it's a great gun for me.... Look forward to getting to know Everyone and learning more about SIG and this SIG family. April |

Hello, April, and welcome from Missouri to a really great forum. Good people and info here! Since you are new to this handgun, self defense arena, consider taking some good self defense classes. I also recommend you check out the many free YouTube videos made by Massad Ayoob, a world-class instructor in handgun use and self defense, who has recorded training sessions in Judicious Use of Force, Shoot to Live, Home Invasion, Preparation for Home Defense, and What to Do After a Shooting. Just Google his name and these topics and the YouTubes should show up. Very good instructional information from an expert, and free.
