Thanks everyone! Seems like everyone who has a P2022 -- and a Sig in general, speaks very highly of them.
Geobob -- your info and links are much appreciated. I agree with you 100% -- being experienced and comfortable with rifles and shotguns, and carrying a handgun for self defense, are two different things. Learning the gun, how it operates, how to shoot it accurately, etc. is one hurdle; the other revolves around the laws of concealed carry and self-defense, AND the mindset that has to accompany that. This is where I need education, and you have provided some info for me to study. Much appreciated! I don't know how much they'll teach in the carry class...no idea...I just know it's 6 hours classroom and then 2 hours on the range. I imagine, though, that I'll need to seek more "advanced" self-defense training than what will be given in that course. Your links, and reference to Mr. Ayoob -- whose name I just learned of yesterday, perhaps from one of your other posts, I can't remember -- will really help.
Now, if I can just find some ammo...
