Sup everyone I'm Tyler I'm 20 and this is my first gun/ ar my parents bought this for me as an early Christmas present about 2 weeks before everything went crazy, so far I have added a sight mark red dot sight, magpul acs stock in fde, moe handguard in fde, and attached two mags together I'm patiently waitin to get some fde pmags to add my mag grips too, then a week after they bought this my step dad bought him a smith and Wesson m&p 15t cause it was on sale at academy sports, talk about perfect timing lol I'm slowly learning everything about these guns just thought I would share some pics I took of the gun and introduce myself well here's the pics of my sig.. welcome

Nice, welcome to the site! I am new too...just bought the black version of your rifle at a gun show a week before the school tragedy. I was intending to pick up a Sig P220 like my Dad's but something kept drawing me back to the M400 AR....so I bought it instead. Must have been divine intervention, lol.

Enjoy that thing and be safe!

Tim

Yeah this one was all black when i got it but I was initially looking at a sig516 and decided to go with the m400e instead because of the price difference but the one thing the 516 had I loved was the acs stock so I bought one for this gun and got it in fde color to make it look better and to match the stock I just replaced the black moe handguard that came on it for a fde one, but I'm very happy with the gun I probably have over 350rds thru it now I have slowed down a lot on shooting it though because of the scarce ammo situation but it has been flawless so far, have you used yours much Tim?

Nice looking M400!

I got an enhanced M400 on New Year's Day. Haven't fired it yet but been busy buying some more Magpul bling for it lol

Man you even got the Magpul IPhone case lol. That's awesome :)

Hey....I have put about 300 rounds through mine so far before ammo became extinct.
I love it but haven't been able to shoot it as much as I would like, obviously. I have shot
steel case Tula Ammo only so far (all I could find and cheap!) and it has been flawless.
I made sure to give it a good cleaning afterwards.
I hope the ammo craze dies down soon...until then I will keep shooting my S&W 15-22 AR! Still have plenty of that ammo laying around....

00SALEEN Tyler You'll learn a god awful lot about your carbine in the Military like most of us have. Just saying, it's an all volunteer military so don't feel like you have to join but just a suggestion since you're so young and all..

But nice M400, you have great parents. Is that a soft rifle case or a Magpul fan shirt? You can't go wrong with Magpul MOE gear at all.

I would suggest active Army over guard service unless you are a die hard physical fitness freak.. I found it hard to stay in shape as a full time civilian and part time reserve soldier.. You have to pass the same rigorous physical fitness standards tests as those required in the Active Duty Army, it quickly turns into a nightmare for thousands and thousands of new soldiers that end up in the reserves. My suggestion, stay away from reserves, or guard unless you are a fitness lover and just because you may be in law enforcement doesn't mean anything. I had a couple cop friends that were constantly trying to pass the PT Test. LOL.. So Go Figure.. If you can work out everyday then do it.. If you find you really like McDonalds, I suggest Active duty.

I will have to look into that capt caveman, the national guard would not be good for me then cause I don't do much physical stuff at all I work at a dealership delivering parts but I'm not in bad shape either ill have to research the reserves

And yes it's a mil spec I had a hard time finding that out cause some places said commercial some said mil spec
