Another SigPro-toting detective: Scott Caan as "Danno" in CBS' Hawaii Five-0 sports the SP2009

Sean Slater, aka Detective Constable Sean Sommerville of the Vancouver Police Department, has recently been the subject of a brief spotlight at the National Post. His latest book, The Survivor, hit shelves on June 14th and focuses on a detective caught in a harrowing situation at his daughter's high school.

Of all the characterizations of the book's protagonist, one seems to have a common thread: his Sig Sauer. Described only as a .40-cal sidearm with a 12-round mag (presumably an SP2022), the author is not bashful in the least about making it known that his lead character - Homicide Detective Jacob Striker - is a Sig carrier, through and through. "Character matters", the National Post echoes, and Striker is most strongly characterized by his Sig.

You can read an excerpt of the book here, and the entire novel is available on Amazon.com.
