If you enlarge the above image, you can see the full flyer that was emailed to Sig Sauer's mailing list today. For whatever reason, a limited quantity of SIG 551-A1 lower receivers is being offered at $369 apiece (includes Swiss-style magazine and free shipping). They include a classic folding stock and will easily connect to your existing SIG 556 upper. According to the flyer, however, only 250 are available and they can only be ordered by phone.



To be completely realistic, the supply will probably be gone by the time you read this. But if you were excited for the SIG 551-A1 and would go to great lengths to get your hands on one...it's worth a shot.

I have the feeling that the 250 qty limit is just a gimmick. Nice to know someone here got one. Let us know how it performs/feels!
