| New Picture of the P224 Appears ![]() This image hit the web on December 14th, courtesy of GunsHolstersandGear.com. It appears to be a very, very plausible production photo of the once rumored and almost confirmed Sig P224. Note the E2-style grip and stainless barrel. The source is quoting this little pistol's not-so-little MSRP at $1,125 - $1,146, depending on which trim and caliber you choose (Equinox, SAS, and Extreme are rumored, chambered in .357 Sig, .40 S&W, or 9mm). Reportedly, Double-Action Kellerman (DAK) will be the only trigger system available at first, with Double/Single Action models coming into play farther down the road. Our in-house discussion of the P224 has been mainly positive, so far. Looks like it may be the gun that pushes the P290 off the shelf. Last edited by txshurricane; 01-02-2012 at 10:47 PM. |

It looks like something that would be worth buying, minus the ridiculous price. I would agree with you that it would push the 290 off the shelf, but that MSRP is just insane. |

| Well, to be fair: the P229 and P226 MRSP is $1,068. So you know that a high MSRP doesn't necessarily mean a high price tag.

I would think the MSRP will come in line with the 226 and 229 but you'll be able to buy in the $800 range to start. I'll take a 9mm SAS in DA/SA please. I keep hearing the DA/SA will be offered later, I hope that means a month or two as opposed to years.

I agree, and I figured about the same, that it will be around $800 real world. But at that price, $800 is ridiculous for that gun.

I like the looks of the gun, but I don't like the price.

One thing about the P290; single stack. Skinny guys gotta have their tiny SIGs too The smaller the better as I see it.I'm still gonna buy a P224 though, it looks like it'd be really comfortable in a shoulder holster rig. |
