Talked to ATF-NFA yesterday....they are entering Form's 1 and 4 that had the checks cashed July 23-25......due to everyone flooding them with suppressor or SBR paperwork before 41P went into effect, the delay time is 8 months and most likely will end up at 10...I have a MAC 10A1 full auto that I am waiting on.

Angry

Submitted Trust Form 4 Feb 19 2016 and credit card was hit Febc26 2016. I just got off the phone with BATF and was informed that there is an 8 month processing time. That time starts when they claim it starts; told me they were not paid until July 2016!!!! Bunch of BS but not a lot you can do about it.
This whole nightmare needs to be eliminated. What part of "Shall not be infringed" do they not understand? Total waste of taxpayer money! (Rant off.)

I'm at 6 months 2 weeks on my latest machine gun....I'm fed up with this wait ****. I called my congressman and suggested that there should be a system put into place such as a "frequent buyer program" so if you have purchased an NFA item within the past 12-18 months, your automatically approved once your check is cashed and your populated into the system for review. It would cut down greatly on the transfer time by reducing the backlog.

The big log-jam occurred on July 1, 2016 when BATF new rule went into effect.
Has to do with people who purchased a suppressor not as an individual but as a TRUST. Every recipient on the TRUST now has to submit the same paper work and finger prints, etc., etc. What was taking only 3 months to get approval is now going to be at least a year. I started my process last Aug and I'm being told I will be lucky to get the can by July.

Hopefully, this is one of the items that Trump will get rescinded, but it will be too late to help me.

Usual out of control government department making the rules up as the go along. They had the money in their bank for 4 months and only start counting when they decide to process the paperwork.
I'm thinking of sending my complaint in via my senator!

My FFL said my two correction letters arrived at the dame time last week. I expected the letters since I made a mistake on my trust. Weird part is the form 4s checks were cashed 1 month apart, may 1st and June 1st. I should only have to wait until the end of February. Can't wait.

It would seem that the log jam actually started much earlier than July as I submitted everything in February 2016 and they had my money then but put it in the pile until June before "officially" starting the process. That's when their 8 month wait time started. I actually had to wait 4 months to start "waiting". Only the government could come up with baloney like that!!!
If driving licenses (Not a protected right!) were issued in the same manner there would be riots in the streets.
