I love my new P938!

Picked up a new P938 SAS at Cabelas first trip to the range today. It ran flawlessly. Put 120 rounds downrange with no failures. I was impressed with the accuracy (the gun...not mine) and how comfortable it was to shoot. Decided on the 938 after realizing nothing that size comes in da/sa like my other sigs and after today I think I made a good choice.

Pic 3: 30 rounds 15ft.

I usually visit my local range once or twice a week. The gun I usually shoot is either my Glock 34, 17 or p226. On rare occasions I take my p938 Equinox. I am always amazed at how accurate this small gun can be.

I have really been wanting to get one of these but I have trouble disengaging the safety. The ambidextrous safety hits the knuckle of my firing hand and doesn't disengage consistently. Anyone else have that problem?

I have small to medium hands, and am right handed. Just checked my grip and the safety sort of just tucks below my knuckle. Never had an issue with it not being disengaged. Also, the detent that keeps the safety is pretty stout on mine. You have to mean to engage or disengage.

Not sure this helps much.

The only problem I've had with my 938 was steel case ammo.
FTF about every 5th round. Brass only now and no problems.

I have the Hogue rubber grips. Prior to that I had the Rosewood grips and the safety did catch the web of my right hand. I can flick the safety off consistently without it being too easy. Never had a problem with it hitting my knuckles.

It is probably just me. I have thought about seeing if someone could file down that side of the safety

Just get a single side safety for the P238 and replace the ambi safety.
I, along with many others have done that.
