Picked up my new P238

So my 10 day wait was up yesterday, brought it home, and per the suggestions I learned here on Sig Talk, I did a field strip including the grips to oil, and to my surprise, I found no evidence of any lube anywhere! So probably, it was assembled with a proper amount that was not visible to me, but nothing on the slide at all. I now have to wonder if my gun store removed it for some reason?? So unfortunately, the weather is too crappy to go out to the range, but for sure, as soon as it stops raining, I'll be plinking away!

There is a good "Sticky" at the top of this page on lubrication of the P238.
Which version of the P238 did you get?

Out of the box, my aluminum frame P238 was devoid of lube. At least that gave me the opportunity to lube it with the grease that I like -- Slip2000 EWG.

The HD I just bought had a "born on" date of 12/8 and it was pretty much dripping in oil. When I fondled it at the LGS before buying it I had to wipe off my hands.
