I love my 938 extreme. It's accurate and small/light enough to be an exceptional every day carry piece. I haven't tried it with the 6 round mag yet, I have stocked up on 7 rounders though.

The Official P938 Love it or Hate it Poll Thread!

Love my P938sas even with addressing a couple of issues. (Grip screws & FP block) It is well worth the trouble for such a sweet shooting pistol. Most folks have no issues at all.

So far it looks like a 50/50 you get one outta the box with no issues or one that has at least one issue for a trip back to Sig.I am real happy with my SAS after sig fixed my mag dropping issue. Just a real bummer to buy a new gun and a real let down to send em back after the first range trip.

Agree. Although I have a wait ahead of me and a proving period to see if mine only takes one trip.

Keep in mind that most people who find their way to a forum like this are individuals who are searching for a solution to a problem. Most people will not join a forum to tell the world how great their new gun is. This is true if any forum on any subject.

I won't speak for anyone else but I joined the forum to find out just how great my new P938 will be when I get it.
And this poll, showing an 80% chance of owning a a great little CC piece after some chance of a bit of hassle, was a big part of my decision to go with the Sig, as was the high praise given for Sig CS.

In my opinion the p938 is a very good and highly reliable handgun. I base this on two things. First - my own experience. I bought mine new in November 2014. To date I have well over 1,000 widely assorted rounds fired without incident. I also have the Sig p938-22 conversion kit which also performs flawlessly. Second - last time I checked the p938 is the number one selling handgun model for Sig in the US. this sales record combined with Sigs lifetime warranty and excellent customer service pretty much tell the rest of the story.

I have a P938 SAS purchased in Sept 2016. My guide rod started to unscrew after only about 200 rounds. Alerted by the long thread on this fourm discussing that issue, I was checking for the problem; I applied the Loctite fix, and have not had any further problem.

I have fired over 500 rounds through the P938, without any malfunctions. Rounds included mostly 115-124 grain FMJ from a variety of manufacturers, and some hollow point, mostly Federal HST 147-150 grain, and some 124 grain. I have used both 6 and 7-round mags.

I like it. Don't love it like I do my 92, but its a much better EDC gun because of the size.

THIS I can respect.

Have I ead correctly that Sig will convert the ambi safety on these? I'm used to them as I own a 92FS, but I really don't need it. It has been a consideration.

They will for a price, or you can buy the parts and convert it yourself.

The only issue I had was with the seven round magazine. It just wasn't worth the time and trouble to send it to SIG for a maybe fix when all I had to do was use the six round magazine that the gun was designed for. I went ahead and bought an additional six round magazine and have been happy ever since. The 7 rounder sits in the gun safe.

If I recall correctly, my P938 Blackwood was manufactured in December, 2015.
