New Owner of a Sig P238

I purchased a P238 last week and am waiting for it to arrive. When the gun arrives, I plan on taking my wife and son to the range to become familiar with the gun. Initially during this "break in" period, I plan on putting a lot of rounds down range......Hopefully without breaking the bank!

While shopping at Gander Mtn. with my wife yesterday, I noticed they have Blazer Brass ammo in .380 for $90 / 250 rounds. Seening this prompts two questions:

1) Will I cause any problems with the new gun using this ammo?

2) Is there a better ammo to use for practice, at or near this price?

Thanks for any assistance. I hope I put this in the right place....Wasn't sure if it went here or under ammunition......Apologys if posted in wrong place!

Blazer brass is fine for general shooting. I've never used the .380 myself but have used plenty of 9mm, 40S&W, and .45ACP.

I put close to 800 rounds of Blazer 115g FMJ 9mm thru my new P250 without one single problem. Have read some disparaging comments on Blazer but my experience was good. Maybe I'm just to new to appreciate the finer points of ammo, but I was satisfied.

I don't use Blazer for two reasons:
1. My favorite indoor range doesn't allow it.
2. This video:

Granted, the guy in the video used Blazer steel-cased ammo (not brass), but I avoid it all the same.

That said, ammo ain't cheap. I wouldn't blame you for at least trying it.

I have used Blazer Brass in a number of autos with no problem. Have avoided the steel or aluminum or whatever the gray stuff is...too many reports of issues.

In any event, it is a good test ammo...if the piece digests Blazer, it should be happy with anything.
