I bought the Sig 290 8 round magazines and added the proper notch to make it fit my Sig 938
I also had to grind off the little plastic tabs on the pinky rest
The first one I tried, I made the notch way too big.
It fit, fed and fired, but dropped out every other shot
I bought two more Sig 290 mags and had a gunsmith make the cutout for the mag catch (cost $30)
I use one with the plastic extension on it and one without
The gun still fits in the same holster and is only slightly longer in the grip
Now I carry with an 8 roung magazine!

Midway USA offers a ProMag Magazine Sig Sauer P938 9mm Luger Steel Blue 10 rounds (currently out of stock). I know nothing about it other than it’s available. I am not sure about carrying the P938 with it since it will enlarge the grip to the point you mad-as-well carry a bigger gun. IMHO.

I made a couple of 10rd range mags out of ProMag P225/P6 mags with the 'cut a new notch' method mentioned for the P290 mags.
10 round magazines
They feed reliably for me, BUT: Without a positive insertion stop, if you slam them home aggressively, they go in way too far and jam in the gun. I wouldn't dream of carrying them for hi cap reloads in SD situations without making a large base out of wood or something to provide a positive stop against the bottom of the mag well.

I can tell you that all pro mag products are pure junk
They may make a 10 round mag for the 938, before even seeing it, I can tell you it can't be trusted for self defense
Every pro mag I have ever handled has not fit or functioned propery
Modify the Sig 290 mags, they have the correct geometry and feed the rounds and don't jam
Just copy the mag catch hole from a 938 mag and it will lock in place
You can trim the plastic pinky rest or just take it off
Only makes the grip ever so slightly longer, still conceals and carries great
I am surprised Sig does not sell an 8 round magazine
