If you wonder about the P938 recoil.
Pistols were Remington 1911 R-1 .45, the P939 9mm and the Sig P229 in .40

Interesting. To my eye (with little experience), it looks like the recoil on the 938 is quicker and sharper although with less gun movement than the others. I'm guessing that means a bit more "sting" in the grip hand. How do you compare the recoil of your 229 to your 938?

Dead on on your assessment. it's not the "tear your hand off at the wrist" kind of recoil you get from an LC9. very managable in fact. I may give up some concealability and get a hogue rubber grip. that will make it much easier to manage. comparing the .40 to the 9 is hard to describe. the 938 is sharper but there is more recoil to the larger guns. the .40 has a lot more recoil than even the .45, but i suspect that the longer barrels allow more of a bleed off of energy.
