For prospective owners and for the stats: Unit made in March '16. 500 rounds down so far, no malfunctions of ANY kind using 2 mags. 115, 124, 147. Magtech, Blazer, Fed HST. Very accurate.
Trigger finger still not liking getting pinched. Got IDP Tactical trigger but been too busy/lazy to swap out. Looking at the size and curvature of it, I'm not sure it's going to solve this problem. Trigger pinch is my only complaint, but it's not much of a bother when you're shooting at people cuz you're not going to be pulling off 30 - 50 rounds. Draw and fire practice can be dry (so no pinch) to get speed and coordination better, so not that big of a deal in terms of practice. Main thing is that it's so much fun to shoot, I want to be able to put more rounds down range before pain starts inducing flinch.
Have had the same problem with the trigger pinching. I took a wooden dowel wrapped in 320 grit emery paper and smoothed the serrations down to a comfortable level, then took a small file and rounded the front/lower edge. It's no longer a problem and a lot easier than replacing the trigger.
I'm not as mechanically inclined as thkfrst and others so what works for me on the 938 is this. The gun is tiny so I will have a tendency to put more finger on it at times so I focus on a little less finger on it, also if this makes sense, I focus on the right side of the trigger face and press to the back, almost if I am pressing to the back left. Keeps me from getting to much finger on it to cause the pinch
Don't usually advocate changing your fundamentals but this seemed to work for me. I also don't get the pinch that much but have felt it and it usually is because I end up with a little more finger on the trigger..just my .02
I too had the problem with the trigger pinch. Replaced the trigger with a smooth Parts Production trigger:-http://www.partsproduction.com/Trigger.htm. No finger pinch since that time. Even though it didn't need it swapped out the P238 trigger at the same time.
Thanks for your input guys. I did read most of the other posts on it before buying the IDP Tactical, and I may will try Thnkfrst's remedy before swapping it out. People say this is not a "range gun", but it will be for me if I get it to the point where I can shoot 100 rounds with no finger ouching. Of course, I could just wear a bandaid on my trigger finger, duh!
I really don't think it would be a problem in a self defense situation. I love this little thing and am buying another one in a different color config.
Sig was running a big weekend sale on them last mont. The 938 version sold out immediately, drats! Good 22 target ammo back down to .07/round again and in abundance.

I like the P938, but I do agree—its not a range gun, its a gun you should take to the range and practice with, but its primary purpose is defense. I know people have posted YouTube videos of the gun shooting groups at 30+ yards but those that can do that in my opinion are rare. That being said, I personally opt for my M11-A1—I use it for range, personal and home defense. My 938 is great for going to Walmart but even then, I think I am beginning to prefer something with more capacity.
As for the trigger, I had a W Engineering trigger installed and it made a nice/significant difference.
Congrats on you 938, they are attractive little boogers!
