X-Change Kit or Complete Pistol?

I have the P320 Compact and the Subcompact has caught my eye. The X-Change Kit is running $399 and a complete pistol would be just shy of $550. Any thoughts on which route is the best option?

The X-Change Kit would save me $150 and offers me the best of both worlds. Swapping out the frames is easy, but the kit may not have much trade-in value if I ever decide to go a different route.

Picking up a complete pistol would be more expensive, also offer the best of both worlds and should I need to get rid of the Compact or Subcompact model a complete pistol would have greater trade-in value.

For those who have X-Change kits, any regrets? Would you have rather just picked up a complete pistol instead?

Oh... got an off-topic question, but do the discount codes you get when you register a Sig pistol ever expire?

I purchased the X-Change Kit to go from Full Size to Compact and when I wanted the Subcompact I just purchased the complete pistol. In retrospect even though the FCU switch is easy and takes a minimal amount of time I regret not buying the Compact as a complete pistol and I will probably end up getting another FCU to have 3 complete pistols. Whenever the FCU's show up on the classifieds they generally don't last long so I think others are also buying the FCU's to make complete pistols instead of dealing with removing and reinstalling the FCU's.

Whole Pistol.
I see p320 CPOs going around $400. I went the kit route and then ended up buying a FCU later.

Check Quantico Tactical, I just ordered a full size X-Change kit for $300. I have a P320RX and a P320 Carry. I plan now to just get a few of the various X-change kits.

I mainly got both because I carry one and use one mainly for range work.

I'm not sure if the Pro Shop will ship an Exchange kit but they are 303 there

I think I saw that Top Gun Supply has the kit for like 300.

399 is a lot

If you qualify for blue label pricing, contrast sights pistols are $400-425 and night sight versions are $475-525.

I prefer buying the whole pistol, then selling off extra parts later if I need to.

I don't know if the discount codes expire, but I DO KNOW that they are no longer offering the discount code on pistols registered now. I registerd my P250 on christmas day, called and they said no more 20% off, but about to announce a "points/rewards" program

Thanks for the advice.
Seriously leaning towards just picking up a complete 320SC.

Working more plain-clothes these days and the smaller package should be more comfortable. The 320C is comfortable but the grip seems to poke out from my hip and bangs around at times.

If I go with the complete pistol and don't like it, I have something that can be traded. If I go with an X-change kit and don't like it, the odds of it sitting on the shelf and collecting dust is great. The complete gun seems to be a better, or should I say safer, investment.

I will have the same dilemma/problem I'm glad to have soon too. I have a full size and would like to have a compact or maybe sub compact.

If you're eligible for the IOP, I would buy the complete pistol. Overall value would probably be greater if you decide to sell.

At $399 vs $599 I would buy the complete pistol. If SIG ever drops the price back to where it was in the beginning I would recommend the X-Change but not now.
