So...I just got rid of mine.

I think the gun itself is fine, the problem was with me, and I just didn't gel with it the way I do with the 9mm version. It's disappointing for me, but I'm glad I got into the 9mm version first because this one would have probably turned me off to the platform, which would have been a shame.

If anyone is interested I'll have a couple of compact and full-size .45 P320 mags in the classifieds soon.

Wow! and after you spent the money and time to make it what it should have been.

I'm thinking of putting mine away until I can find a grip module I like. I like the trigger and the reviews for p320 are great. I don't want to take a loss if I sell it or trade.

Everytime I think about this gun I get mad. You are spot on about buying this version turning someone off of this platform. That has been my experience.

I own a Sig516 patrol and was looking at getting the Sig Romeo 4B Red dot. Know im thinking of selling the Sig516 and going with another company.

After sending the pistol back to Sig and that being a whole saga, I went to the range saying to myself that it better be completely flawless and make me fall in love with the pistol. Same issues as before, even if they were self-induced and not the pistol's problem...that was enough, I tried my best.

As for Sigs in general, I still love them, have five of them (and recently picked up an M11-A1), all of the flawless. So I'm not ready to give up on the brand, but I am more wary than before.

This has been an interesting conversation for me. I bought a p320 45cal in full-size last summer. I was waiting for my son to go to the range with me as we always tried out my new guns together. He was killed in the line of duty in early October before we ever made it to the range to fire the new 45 cal.

I have three other 45s, a p220 and p227 plus an FNX-45 (non-tactical). I keep reading through articles about the p320 models in 45 hoping to see a compelling post which will lead me to say go ahead and shoot it versus sell it as a new never-fired gun. Reviews are great but the people I trust are.users on this forum who have a view of guns similar to mine and use them the way I do, for fun, recreation and, of course, self-protection. Not much help guys. Still in a quandary.

Really sorry to hear about your boy.

As far as the pistol....it might be a fine fit for you, and just not so for others. Only way to really know is to shoot and find out. By now I think the the problems I was having were more about my incompatibility with the pistol than the pistol being bad, per se. I'd say fire it for a session and then clean it well if you want to sell, can't really say it'd make a huge difference as a resell if you never fired...as it was already fired at the factory to test anyway. Good luck. I have a P20 Stainless Elite which I absolutely love.

Im so sorry to hear about your son.

I have shot my P320 compact and I can tell you I like the trigger and the felt recoil is manageable. I also think the build quality is good. My only concearn is the lack of grip modules, and the slide catch being in the way of my thumb so I can't get a good grip on the pistol.

I spoke with the Gun shop that sold it to me. He couldn't find me a medium grip module. He did tell me that I should call Sig and explain to them that I bought this pistol becouse of the modularity and its not very modular if I can't buy the parts. He said he thought they could probably find me one.

He also thinks the newest version of the P320 45 compact will be shipping with medium grip modules so that is why he thinks there is a shortage from Sig.

I hope this helps.
