Who uses a Compact Grip on their Full Size?

I was on the hunt today for a Small Full Size Grip for my RX but came up empty. Browsing through You Tube I came across a video by Justin Opinion where he was running an RX with a Compact Grip. Said he really liked the feel of it

Remembered I had a small Compact Grip and switched over to it

Haven't shot with the Compact Grip yet, curious if others have gone this route

That's how I setup. Love to look of the compact grip on the full size slide. Also, I use the small grip module with Talon Grips and it fits perfectly for me.

I carry this way every day. Have both a FDE and ODG compact frame in the MED size. The full size frame printed a bit more due to the additional grip height.

I have run approx 1k rounds of 9mm through my full size slide sitting on top of a compact-small frame. No issues. Your set-up looks great.

Looks great. I'm going to try this with my full size .40.

Thanks fellas. I think the flexibility just speaks to the advantages that the 320 provides.

Try that with your G17 / 19. You would have to cut your grip and void your warranty in the process.

Me too!

I like that it's easier to conceal the compact grip and still have the full sized barrel and sight radius. Some might say it's also smoother on recoil, but I'm not that discerning a shooter. Both the compact and the FS were smooth for me. Best of both worlds!

P1060114a.jpg Its the way I prefer to shoot my P320 full. It may be between my ears but I like the gun balance set up this way. I also find it is easier to holster the weapon.

P1060150b.jpg One thing to watch for though is possible fouling in the small gap which exposes the recoil spring cavity. This can be an issue if you pocket carry.

No gap on my setup when running a FS slide and Compact grip. I do have a gap when I run my Compact slide on a Subcompact grip.

In either case though, no way I'm pocket carrying either of those setups. They are both too thick and long to be remotely concealable so I think it's a moot point. I do think it has the possibility of being a debris entry point, but I'm not running MAC's torture gauntlet anytime soon .

The only time I pocket carry my P320 full with compact slide is when I take the tractor into the woods. I usually stick it in the large pocket of my work jeans since an OWB holster gets caught on branches and equipment. Several times I've picked up a bit of lint in the return spring cavity through that gap. Not a big problem but something to be aware of.
