Already own a P250C .357/.40 and a 9mm and saw that my local Cabela's has the P250C .22 on sale for $299.00. Good deal? Also own a 226 with the .22 conversion. Was concerned a little about buying it due to the fact that Sig has discontinued the 250 line. Maybe I should consider the 320 line instead? Thanks

Not sure what FCU they use in that weapon and whether it can be used with other calibers (ejector).

If it can, that's not a bad price to get a good FCU.

If you want to get an upper and mags to use with your current P250, contact Jim Ritchie, he may have some.

One thing, if you have the old slide catch with the higher crosspiece and the spring with the washer on top, you'll need a newer release as the old one will jam the barrel lug.

I have found the 250 adapter to be less crotchety than the one for my 229. You still need to use high velocity cartridges unless you like to practice malfunction drills.

The P250 is relavent today as it was when it was introduced. It fills a niche nicely. A DAO duty, and carry gun that is modular. Just because it was discontinued does not mean it is obsolete. As exfed2002 has said, there is a P250 FCU in that gun, that will work with x-change kits. The market right now is around $200 to $250 for a P250 FCU. That means your getting your .22lr x-change kit for $100 or less.
So, if you are wanting a P250 in .22lr. Buy it. If not that is a good deal on a FCU and you could always sell the rest as a .22lr x-change kit and recoup some of your $$.

Edit: Sig as of today, has not released a P320 .22lr

I looked at a P250 22LR at Cabela's and just didn't care for it. I didn't like the way it felt in my hand and really didn't like the trigger feel. I had read about all the people who complained about the SIG Mosquito, but then also read about those who consistently shot high velocity ammo like CCI Mini Mags and had very few problems.
I went to my LGS's web site and did a search for Mosquito and up came a page for the German Sport Guns FireFly. GSG made the Mosquito for SIG and when SIG discontinued it they simply named it the Firefly and kept making it. It is imported by American Tactical and my LGS was selling it for just under $250 out the door. I bought one and have been really happy with it. It feels perfect in my hands and shoots really well after a change of the front sight (which was supplied with the pistol) and an adjustment for windage on the rear sight.
I've shot 200 CCI Mini Mags through it with just one FTE and two FTFs. I shot 100 Browning BPR round nose through it without a failure and 50 BPR lead hollow points with just a few FTFs. All of this is high velocity stuff. I have no regrets about buying the FireFly and look forward to taking it to the range again soon.

Picked up mine for $332 at Cabela's last month.

So far I've put 500 rounds of bulk box Winchester and Federal through it and its been perfect! I had a finicky mosquito a long time ago, and for this to run on the cheap **** makes me smile.

I was able to snag a 9mm Complete slide for mine for $125 shipped too, so I have $457 into a pistol that shoots both. Sig has the mags for them for $30, you have to call though, they are not on the website. I've modified one to hold 12 and another for 14rds, I'll report back how they run.

Buy now, because I think this is the last dying gasp of the P250. I dont think Sig will even bring a P320 .22 conversion to market this decade.

The W prefix is what designates the "LEO/MIL" versions that are available through the SIG APP program (Armed Professional Program). They are offered to credentialed active/retired Mil/LEO/First Responders. They are discounted a little and usually come with an extra mag and night sights. They may be obtainable by other means but that info is above my pay grade.
