Question P320 X-Carry Questions

Hello all

I was trolling around the Shot Show video clips and found one about a P320 X-Carry. It looked really nice. From the video it sounded like the demo gun was 9mm. I'm assuming '17 round mag' meant 9mm. I really want 357sig but that can be changed with a x-change kit.

https://www.americanrifleman.org/art...-carry-pistol/

I really like the flat trigger because I wouldn't have to add that later.

The serrations on the slide I could care less about, but cut slide is interesting to me. I've never had a gun with a cut slide. I assume it saves weight. With being a carry gun would it also collect dirt?

They say the rear slide is on a plate and removable for Romeo1. I couldn't make out from the video if you loose the rear sight complete with the plate. I would like the R1 but I would also want the rear sight for a backup.

They reference something called pretensioning. What does that mean?

The audio fades a little when they talk about price, but it sounds like $125 more than a stock P320 Carry. That sounds like pretty good deal but I don't know much about the 'x' line in the 320.

Is there a part number for this pistol?

Are there changes to the action that make the 'x' line better than the normal 320?

If I was looking at getting a P320RX, 357sig x-change kit and Apex or GrayGun flat trigger, would the 320-x sway me away from the RX and trigger?

I believe the pretension means that the barrel is "fitted" which supposedly provides better accuracy. Someone with more knowledge on that might chime in.

I'm also waiting on the 320c RX but this is intriguing. If they can get this out to the public I may take a series look at the Xcarry instead. I recently put the apex flat trigger in my 320 and absolutely love it.

Problem is no telling when this will actually be available to the public.

On the X-series, you get Romeo 1 or iron sights, not both.

You could always just get a Compact RX model, add a Greyguns flat trigger and a carry grip module... but 2/3 of those items arent shipping right now.

I think I'm going to go with ZacSquatch's idea when they do start shipping, maybe I'll start with the Compact RX x-change kit (if they ever do it) and then get the X-Carry grip module.

The X-Carry and Target Grip modules might fix most of my gripes with the P320

The Grayguns flat trigger will provide a lighter pull whereas the X flat trigger is a change in shape only.

I'm fine with the stock or Apex flat trigger so I'm not worried about that.

Looks cool but I doubt we will see it in a LGS for 6 months or so.

I've used a 320 in two range rental sessions.

What issues did you find with the grip?

The first grip modules I had didn't have much grip on them and they generally just feel cheap to me and scratch easily.

It's mostly just personal preference and I'm hoping the X grips are of higher quality but they look great and look like they would feel more comfortable as well.

Anyone have any updated info on when the X-Carry will be available? In the Shot Show videos they mentioned March, but no updates since the show and also no info whatsoever on the sig website.

If the rollout of the 3 P220 Legion models is any measure, we have a while before they are available.

I really want a P320 RX, but this makes things a little more difficult!

Spoke to my guy at sig last week. He said 6 to 8 weeks before they even start shipping the x-five. Was supposed to be end of Feb early March. Typical sig. My prediction is you'll be lucky to see the x-carry by summer.
