Mine has a lot more material removed. It's birthday is October 21, 2014. If I remember, I'll take it to work and get an accurate weight on the slide.

I can honestly say that I've never seen the inside of an autoloader slide that looks like that; such an uneccesarilly complex machined surface:

Having a difficult time imagining that being a production configuration, no matter what the vintage. I certainly wouldn't want to clean it thoroughly with all those nooks and crannies.

A little solvent and a q tip and done, really not a big deal at all.

You typically see color variances in anything FDE. They're doing nitron, unlike Cerakote, it's not a standard color. Just like Geissele has their DDC rails (since the color variation swings too much in either direction to call them FDE)

Looking at my full-size 9mm slide makes me wonder why Sig Sauer milled voids all around the interior. The large void that is 1mm behind the breech face will likely cause a crack. I've considered switching to .40s&w simply because the slide doesn't have those stupid voids.

I wondered the same thing. There are voids in the inner, top and both sides of my 9mm slide...***?
