P320 Availability

I scoured Atlanta for a P320 with Romeo red dot. There were no P320's to be found, let alone one with the red dot.
I called the pro shop at Sig 603-610-3456, and ordered it there. They had just filled a back order for 80 pistols and did not think there would be any more for about 6-8 weeks. Fortunately, they called about 7-8 days later and said my order was filled, ready to ship.
They took a 20% deposit on day of order and I paid the rest the day they shipped it. Total time was approx 12 days with shipping, weekend, waiting.

It is a work of art.
NB: Sig does not install the battery for the sight. I found that out the hard way. I kept pressing the up/down arrow (that's how to activate it - turn it on) and nothing happened. Then...I saw the battery still in its package, and it dawned on me.

I went to my LGS yesterday, they had a facebook post a few days before that they got a dozen of them in, there were none left

Went to the range dejected to shoot my old 1911 and carry gun (Shield 9mm). There on display was a P320rx. It came home with me

Just got my P320 compact last week. I traded in my P938 towards this and I'm very happy with my first striker fired pistol. I stopped at my range on the way home and compared it against my P226. At 50 ft., the grouping was almost the same. Mine is a MA compliant version with the thumb safety (Army version has the same). BTW, my dealer (Four Seasons) had 70 ea. P320C's in-stock. I guess it's easy to order when you only have one model that is MA compliant.

They may have a run on them now with all those that want a thumb safety.

I ordered a p320 rx full size through the NRA Instructor program and Sig told me it would take a couple of weeks for it to ship. I'm on day 3.....
