Seems there is some confusion on this topic.

If your red dot is sighted in it should be right on, or on top of the front sight when the iron sights are lined up and you are looking through the sights. If the shooter lines up the iron sights and the dot is lined up properly, and holds the pistol still and moves his head up, the dot will rise above the sights while still staying on target. No matter where the dot appears on the window it will be on target, whether it is above, to the left, right or below the front sight.

Mine was low and left.

The adjustment is a little counterintuitive, it adds to it because we are adjusting the dot with the iron sights. You just have to remember the adjustment is where you want the bullet to go...POI. Take a shot if it is low, adjust up and the shot moves up.

My P320 RX was shooting low left with the Optic. at 10 yards. The Iron sights were right on at the same distance. Had a RO at my indoor range shoot it also just to verify. He shot low and left also with the Romeo 1 and the iron sights he hit the center of the target. Made the adjustments to the optic and it shoots very accurate groups.
My red dot appears in the top third of the lens of the optic. If I want to co-witness through the optic using my iron sights I just need to drop my eyes down and pick up the iron sights.

My 320crx red dot was off some and I reset it shooting from a rest at 30'. I find the iron sights slightly low.

I'm going to play with it a little and see how it shoots at 3 and 7 yards with it sighted in at 15 and 25 yards. Basicaly going to see how sighting it in at further distance affects the point of impact at close distance.

I like the dot away from the front sight post. If your going to run a red dot that's lined up with the iron sights then why run a red dot at all. Just use the iron sights.
It's possible it may be a little off at 3 yards. The red dot is normally a little higher from the bore than standard iron sights are. There may be a little parallelex at close distances.

Mine is accurate from 5 to 25 yards, but shoots a little high any closer. No big deal. No gun is flat at all distances.

My dot is in the center of the glass. I also just need to drop my head a little or raise the gun slightly to pick up the iron sights. If my dot was on or just above the front sight post I would be annoyed by the clutter. I find my sight picture to be the same as using a red dot on an AR. My AR's irons are in the lower 1/3 of the glass just like the irons on my P320rx are in the lower 1/3 of the Romeo1 glass.

Can anyone tell me if it is normal when you adjust the optic red dot up (Turn the adjustor CCW) the red dot actually moves down.

Is that the way it is supposed to work?

No biggie just tying to understand how these things work..

Thanks

When you are 'adjusting the sight', you are actually adjusting the dot to meet the POI. Therefore, if you are hitting low and want to raise where the shot strikes you are 'raising the barrel' in relation to the sight. So, to make the sight co-incide with the bullet hole that is below POI, you need to lower the dot in relation to the barrel. In other words, the dot actually moves in the opposite direction of what the mark on the sight says.

Hope that makes sense.

My full-size I bought in Feb was, but the compact I picked up 2 weeks ago seemed to be a bit high& right, POI was low left.
