P320 Medium Carry

Hello Everyone!

I'm new here and I just bought my second Sig. I now also have a Brand New P320 Medium Carry Pistol in 9mm and was wondering if they have any extended magazines for this pistol or can I put a regular Large Frame Magazine in my new pistol.

My Magazine capacity is 15 rounds. The full size is 17 rounds.

Thanks in advance! :)

Yes you can put full size 17 round 9mm mag in the carry. There will be a gap between the bottom of the frame and the magazine. This gap can be filled with Poly sleeve. See my recent post on P320 modification.

It appears that the mag you've selected is a 17-rd mag for a compact P250 (so it includes the filler piece as shown in the second picture of the mag at CDNN).

Usually, if they sell the 17-rd mag without the filler, they will call it a "full-size mag".

It's the same mag either way. Only difference is the one for the Compact (hopefully) comes with the x-grip adapter.

Grip WIDTH (Small/Medium/Large) does NOT affect magazine compatibility. The only thing you CAN'T do is put a SMALLER sized mag in a larger "gun". A sub-compact mag will NOT work in a full size gun. (I DO apologize for wording that wrong the first time).

If you go with the larger mag with the extension (the little $12.95 plastic thingy) you MAY want to adhere it to the mag.....

I'd like a few 20-30 rd mags for the P250.

One thng guys about the stupid adapters. Thjey SHOULD make them so they snap over the baseplate, but they don't.

They do make the gun feel better but do NOT stick these things on the spare mag and expect to have clean mag changes. They slip down and foul the mag change.

I got so they are such a pain I just toss them and use the high cap mags as-is when I use a 15 or 17 in my SC's.

Ok,

Thanks you guys. I appreciate the responses, but I am even more confused than ever. Maybe I will just buy one of the:

CDNN SPORTS - SIG 250 COMPACT 9MM 17RD EXT MAG

And see how it looks/works.

And for the negligible price, one of the:

CDNN SPORTS - SIG 250 COM. 9MM/40SW POLY FULL SIZE SLEEVE

I checked your first link......and herein lies the problem. In the lower left they show a mag without doohicky/thingy AND next to it a mag WITH the doohicky/thingy and don't tell you which one you are getting.

:confused::eek:
Bat around the internet for awhile looking at thee sites and wordings....

Why confused?

17-shot mags are the highest cap made.

They fit the FS, C and SC guns.

You can add the rubber doohicky if you want.

Doohicky? You are a trained professional and are allowed to do this at home? LOL!

I think in the catalogue it is a thingy! But, then again *I* can't do this at home (yet)......lol

If someone is confused, you are probably over thinking this.

See if THIS helps (I will concede Sigs descripters are lacking).

So.....pick your caliber (caliber will affect capacity). Then find out what a mag in THAT caliber will hold for an sc/sub-compact. THAT is your base line. If you see a mag that Will hold more AND you have a sub-compact it WILL fit. Oh and you DON'T care if it says mag for P250 OR P320 that does not matter. Couple of more rounds and it is one size up. Several rounds more and it would be 2 sizes up. One size up from sc/sub-compact means it was"engineered" for the Compact. 2 sizes up from sc means it was a "engineered" for the Full size gun/frame. You DO NOT care about GRIP SIZE ("S" "M" "L") that does not come into play for magazines.
I forget right now (V can probably help) the wording difference for a mag for sale with and without the doohicky. AND doohickies can be purchased separately with proper licensing (the licensing bit is a joke).......

Doohickies are also the same for 250 AND 320....

Top Gun had doohickies in stock and on line to be seen if you need to look at one separately.

This concerns me. Can't you just glue them on?

They fit the FS, C and SC guns.
I will assume these abbreviations mean Full Size, Compact and Sub-Compact.

Mine is clearly marked "Compact Medium"

May I also, assume mine is what you call a SC?

Really?

There is a reason the 320 carry and the 250 compact are interchangeable.....It's THE EXACT SAME GRIP MODULE - PERIOD!

And you are of the opinion V and I don't know grip extender eh? Lighten up, we are TRYING to make some new folks a little less uncomfortable.

Special order and Sig in the same sentence..........

Glue

To the adhere the grip extender/thingy/hoodicky question.

Yes it can be done (I have to swear you to secrecy but, I've done it) as V posted months ago, not just any stuff (another technical term - Google it) will work. I found some that did and can't remember what it is.....sorry. (I use a lot of sticky substances).

I stand corrected!

On the label it says:

320C-9-B
P320C, 9, Nitron, Contrast, DAO, Med Grip

So, I guess I got the "Contrast" sights and not the "SIGLITE Night Sights". :(

I think there must have been a misunderstanding with the salesman. I never would have bought it without Tritium sights. Oh well! I need to order them!

all good!

We all had some fun and you learned something.....it's all good.

Yeh, research ahead of time (seems particularly valid for Sig) is a good thing.

We may need a sticky post for naming the plastic: doohicky/thingy/pinky thing/grip extender.....lol

Oh just in case........"we" suggest cleaning the protective coating (technically referred to as goo) off AND lubricating (NOT with the sticky stuff) BEFORE you shoot said gun.

Oh.........just in case 2......if you are right handed and your groupings are low left.............
Please search the posts about that one.......:)

Great luck on your new purchase!!

Why? Some people have no use for them. I install fiber optic front sights and a black competition type sight on the rear so why would I want to pay the cost for something soon taken off. Glock doesn't make them standard , nor do many other manufacturers. Any competent gunsmith with the CORRECT sight pusher can install them. The problem is that there are few capable of being used on the 320 slide. The replacement sight set itself will be over a hundred. The Sig Custom shop charges $120 to install them.

P320 Carry X Change Kit

Does anybody know where I could find a P320 Carry x change kit? I can't seem to find them anywhere. Right now I have the fullsize P320, but it's too big to conceal. I want a shorter gun, but at the same time I don't want to downgrade to 15 rds.
