It's close, but trust me, it's not the same.

Seeing "X-five" on that slide makes me sad.

Seems to cheapen the X-Five brand a bit, given it's plastic. But a 5 inch bull barrel will be pretty sweet.

For what it's worth, I was just gifted an X-Five Tactical for Christmas and it doesn't the the billboard on the side. I'm happy about that for sure...

So i did some digging and it seems the .40 cal version is MIA. My LGS called their rep and he said at this time there wasn't a date on when they might make it in .40 cal even though we have seen some info otherwise.

I did put my order in for one...

A lot of dealers have it listed online but not in stock, so my guess is that it's coming soon. For example, grabagun:

Sig Sauer P320 X-Series Black 9mm 5-inch 21rd

Looks like a 5" barrel, 4 x 21rd magazines, fiber optic adjustable sights. It also appears that HK is releasing a VP9L with 18 round magazines. Add the CZ P10 Suppressor Ready Full Size with 21rd magazines and there are quite a few new options for a full sized polymer striker fired firearm.

A VP9L, now you have any attention.

I trust you, but wasn't the "word on the street" that GreyGuns was making the trigger for the target version?

That's probably why most think it's the equivalent to the Custom Grayguns P320 Trigger (PELT)

So I just read somewhere that the target version has a different FCU especially sear area so other slides would not be compatiable. This sorta defeats the purpose of the modularity.

I highly doubt anybody is grabbing a target model to be able to swap a SC kit on it and pocket carry. This is a purpose built pistol and doesn't need to do anything else IMHO. If they want modularity, stick with the standard models and swap as needed. I'm willing to sacrifice the option to swap it with other things for a better trigger and grip. You will never get a "One pistol that does EVERYTHING (well)" so why should this platform be the exception.

I'm not saying I'm not gonna do whatever I can to get one. It's just not really all that "modular."

Well being in CA and not being able to buy the X-Five variant, I was hoping to be able to purchase a kit. Would be curious to see what's different about the FCU.

I have a compact and would like to get that grip frame to go with a regular full size slide. Wouldn't mind buying a standard full size kit and the target grip frame separately.

We won't know what the hell is going on until they get out there. Like some mentioned up top, not many are thinking about the modularity when buying this version. I myself got a full size for police based competition and am looking at the target for other comps.
