320 Grip mods-Who's done some?

So I have an extra grip module and I'm thinking of carving on it a bit. It's a full medium and it's a little big in my hand so with them being relatively cheap I'm gonna work it a bit. I plan to trim the dustcover back to carry length and, depending on the info obtained here, maybe reduce the girth of the grip. Also a high cut job on the trigger guard.

Main question: This feels like Zytel so can I stipple/texture it with the kind of relatively low heat like a Glock or will I need to go hotter? And what to use to buff the bottom of the trigger out to look stock after high cutting and relieving it?

Sorry if this has been covered ad nausium but I'm doing Daddy-Daycare and can't find time to take a quiet **** let alone comb the archives.

Thanks,

Tim

I did a bunch of P250 grips. Soldiering iron will work fine.

I had my frame professionally done, including a custom stipple pattern, index points, trigger and index undercuts. I'm satisfied with the grip and that it's not too bad against the skin like other patterns.

Please tell us P320 owners more about your professional stippling, trigicon site install, etc. We need all the help we can get! Right boys?

Thanks Chris, I was worried it was going to be a pain.

wisemen, I've seen your pistol pop up other places as an example of how it ought to look!

Thank you, you can find all the information you seek below:

RMR'd OD Green P320c XC1 content!

The frame work was done by Josh Custom Weapons in Austin, TX. Pricey, but I'm very happy with his custom pattern. The best part about the P320 frame is that you can ship it stripped via USPS Priority Mail without any issues.

Did you notice much difference with the trigger guard under cut? I did as much as I can while keeping a contour on the front of the grip (less squarish) and minding the mag release. Feels SLIGHTLY better, still wish I could get higher on it.

I did a little work on mine and just used sand paper. When I had it to where I wanted it I hit it with some steel wool. I steel wool got everywhere but I cleaned the frame up and all went well.

I am looking to try RIT dye on an FDE module in either grey or just a darker FDE/brown. Anybody have any luck?

I'm sure there are several examples in the P250/P320 picture thread (below), but there was a very recent one on the last page. Link below.

I always wonder how much difference the index point stipple makes because I find my support thumb having trouble staying put on the 320 more than any other pistol.
