320 subcompact mag base plate extension, but only a little, does it exist?

I cut down a compact frame to accept a subcompact 12 round mag. I am looking for a base plate that will only add a little bit more length (1/8-1/4 inch) not enough to make it lenght of a compact mag. Looking at springer/ohsidian ones, can't tell if they will only add a little. Anyone have any experience/suggestions? Thanks

Obsidian Arms has one that adds a little that's specifically made for the subcompact magazine. The subcompact magazines have a different configuration at the bottom than the Compact or full size magazines do so the Springer ones or other Obsidian models won't work.

I've been looking for the same thing. Just a pinky tip extension and not a big thick base pad. I emailed Pierce and a couple other of those type of manufacturers to see if they're going to make an extension for the P320 and have never received a reply.

Drop Obsidian a note letting them know.
They have a lot of projects right now but they have discussed this option in the past.

I dont think some people understand the point of a subcompact. Now you are back to compact grip length and have defeated the purpose.

Maybe because you don't understand what the OP wants.

1. Some of us are NOT OK with our fingers hanging in the air.

2. He's not looking for an extension to make the SC grip the same size as the Compact. He wants something in between, like what is offered for Glocks.

3. I would be happy to find the same thing. It's called compromise.

I find it very odd that the pinky rests haven't showed up for the P320 subcompact yet.

As far as the pinky in the air bit - I get that and found something. I do NOT know if this is what the OP is looking for.....It was on ebay and the only place I could find it. It lets a person park a pinky on a sub-compact mag - THAT extension isn't all that small - it isn't huge but, I don't know where it would be relative to the length of a "normal" sub-compact mag.

And everyone does realize 250/320 (mags anyhow) = no difference...right?

Why?

SUBcompact is designed for MAX concealment and is USED for personal protection. It had a very narrow and direct design around it. If you cannot fire it without it flying out of your hand because your little pinky doesn't have a place to sit then I'd suggest more range time. The compact to me has juuuuuust enough room to place my pinky on the grip. SO AGAIN if you need a pinky rest you might as well use the compact. 15rd vs 12rd and a place for your precious little finger. What is the mid road? Half of your pinky resting on the grip?

Imo Id rather see a GAP floorplate over a pinky rest. I can shoot a pistol just as good with or without my pinky on the grip. Ill never understand the "Ugh I neeeed somewhere for my pinky to go!" whine.

The subcompact was actually made for "smaller hands", same as the demitasse cup. But I won't ask you why you like your pinkie sticking out.

Me; I can handle the bigger guns just fine. Also, they aren't too heavy for me to carry. Perhaps more range time could teach you to hold a man's gun without dropping it?

Nice try, it most definitely wasn't made for smaller hands. In fact that is hilarious if you believe that. It was made for better concealment, period.

You obviously are the one that needs a full hand on a pistol. Practice practice practice man

I have a full hand, so I need a full pistol.

Why can't you conceal a P227 or a 1911?

Lots of guys do.

Wow, didn't quite expect thread to go in that direction. I used to have a ruger lc9 with the pinky extension, so i was looking for something similar. Talked with Wade at obsidian arms, they are working on a 'pinky hook' for the subcompact. I can shoot my cut down compact frame with my pinky hanging off, just easier to grab if it had pinky hook similar to the ruger
