Maybe a tuned 1911 with minimal sear engagement, but short of something along those lines, don't worry for that action.
The idea with what you're talking about is to preserve the 2 angles on the tip of a 1911 sear, which have a LOT less engagement surface than say a Sig. By dropping in an empty slide for those, the sear can bounce a bit and the longevity of the angles ground diminishes. In this situation you'll have a worse trigger pull, and d pending how the hammer hooks were cut, possible hammer follow.
