Question about milling slide ?

I have 2 Sig P320 carry models , one in 9mm , and one in 40 S&W . I also have a Vortex Razor red dot on the way . I will need to have the slide milled to accept the Razor . I contacted a local machine shop , and they want a template , or print to layout the slide . Does anyone know where I can get a template , or print ?

TIA

I wouldn't send my gun to any shop for milling. I'd only send it to one that's done the work before. If they need a template, more than likely they don't have enough experience at it. I can't recommend a shop as I've never researched it, but I'm sure someone else has a recommendation and will post it soon.

I don't think it will work with the Razor. I recall the RX has a proprietary cut just for their optic and no interchangeable bases.

I sent my P320 full size slide to Suarez International in Prescott AZ. They milled the slide and mounted a Trijicon RM06. I have shot about 200 rounds so far--it is real nice. The only downside is it is expensive.

I did not worry about the warranty as I have 2 other slides.

OP, I seem to remember reading lots of good reviews about these guys.

Been researching getting my slide milled- and I have heard some negative reviews with Suarez International (enough to steer me clear). Some positive and negative on Custom Creationz. Seems to be a lot of positive reviews with L&M and Galloway milling work. I am leaning on sending my slide to L&M mostly or maybe Galloway (had some good experience with Galloway with other weapons in the past- but, L&M seems to have a very good reputation with the P320 milling work). I wouldnt trust my slide to be a 1st time experiment with any local machine shop no matter what kind of reputation they have.

Thank you very much for your input . I have already sent an email to Mark @ L&M .

The Vortex Replacement mount (Which is similar to the one for the Burris) costs 29 dollars, and is easily set up and removed. No screws ups.
No, you cannot "Co Witness" your sights, But if you need to do that you are pretty much in trouble anyway. That was what I did with both my Glock and my SIG 229R.
Best money I ever spent.
