239 looks

Really want to like the 239 but cant get past the look of the rounded off trigger guard. Wish it had the same as a 229. Anyone else feel this way? Obviously looks aren't everything but I only like to own guns that do it for me aesthetically.

I personally think it looks fine. Shoots fine (the 9mm version). Just little heavy and bulky to carry for me.

The stainless steel version looks really. Not sure if Sig still makes those.

i don't have a 239 & i personally like the curved trigger guard found on the early, non rail 229's.

The rounded trigger guard fits perfectly with the overall design of that gun, in my opinion. If it doesn't do it for you aesthetically, so be it; not every gun is suited for every person.

The rounded guard, to me, makes it less "militaristic" and more "personal firearm," but that's just me.

Safe shooting!

No offense but it's the only drawback to the 239, unless you consider the over rounded SAS, yuck. And I don't know why, I have a bunch of other SAS's that don't look bad. Just that and the 938 are over done.

Not ever gun appeals to every taste.

I love the heck out my P239 SAS Gen 2 9mm.

Funny but I read many people saying just the opposite; that they wish SIG didn't put the "hook" on the trigger guard. I like all my SIGs.

I'll admit the 239 is not the most beautiful Sig, but the thing shoots like all of it's brothers. I'll eventually put a pair of G10's on it, but for now the Hogue Handall slip-on makes this little gem handle like a 229. To hell and back reliable and incredibly accurate. What's not to love.

I like mine just fine. I guess I just don't pay that close attention to some stuff that others find important.

I like the look of the P239 for it's efficiency, not it's aesthetics; it's designed to carry. The slimmed frame under the muzzle, the upturn of the trigger guard, the forward slope of the back of the slide and the bobbed hammer all work to minimize the physical envelope while still providing a stout, robust firearm.

I'll agree the P239 is not a beauty. But it is a very functional gun and does its job. I carry mine every day and know if I ever need it, it will perform flawlessly. That is more important to me than looks.

I just got a P239 SAS 9MM. I like the rounded trigger for this model. It sets it apart from the larger duty guns with the squared off trigger guard. Its a small Easy to conceal or back up gun. No need for sharp edges to snag on things.
