Does anyone have a good fit holster for the new version SP2022 (squared trigger guard and picatinny rail S/N 24BXXXXXX)? I called Sig CS in April and they said that they should have a custom holster for that style in about 8 weeks. I called back last week and they told me that I should probably look at other manufacturers.

Most manufacturers that make holsters for the 2022 say that they do not fit the new style (those that knew). Another forum said that the Blackhawk Serpa CQC for the 2022 fits, but Blackhawk won't reply back to me to confirm this. Don't know much about Blackhawk, but some seem to like them. Not looking for fancy and would like to stay under $50. The lower the better. An inexpensive ballistic nylon would easily serve my purpose. I just need someone to say "Yup, it fits". From what I have read on several forums, this is a sore spot with the new 2022 owners.

Thanks in Advance...

Uncle Mike's. I think for the 239 it is a #16, for the 229 a #15, so the 2022 should be a #14.

My SP2022 is not my primary edc (239 is) so I just use a safepacker for it and carry it around in there (off belt). It's my car/biking/gym gun so I never IWB carry it.

You might try Milt Sparks also, or Ryan Grizzle but either will be more than $50. A good holster is going to run you more than $50.

Thanks for the info BrickTop. I kept looking, but no one seems to make a holster for the new 2022 yet.

After a little thought (sometimes difficult for me), I realized that it is not a holster that I am looking for. The range I frequent is a state facility. They don't even allow holsters. And, I was still going to have to have something for ammo, mags and whatever. I ordered an Uncle Mike's Deluxe Range bag from Amazon for about $41.

If I ever do decide to have a carry pistol, like you, It won't be the 2022 because of the size. I will probably get a P250, P239 or Bersa Thunder 9 UC for that.

I do appreciate the reply. Thanks again!

BTW... how do you like the 239?

okay ... I'm on the bandwagon of being tired that there are no holsters for these 2022's! I'm almost to the point of selling it so that I can get a Glock and buy any part/holster/thingamijigger that humans make for those things (okay, maybe not to that extreme).

My question is ... they've sold a Godzillion of these to the French Police, bunches to the DEA, etc., etc., ... what the hell are they carrying them in? Their pockets?

+1

I don't understand why no one will commit to thier products fitting this weapon. As far as the hundreds of thousands of these being sold overseas, it may have been the old style. That style has holsters available everywhere.

To my knowledge, all they have to work around is the rail and squared trigger guard for custom fit holsters. Sounds easy to me, but I am not in manufacturing. I have the bag now, but if I decide to buy a holster, Ace Case has a ballistic nylon that they say will fit the 2022 with rail. It even has an extra mag pouch built in. It is dirt cheap, which leads be to believe anyone that needs to rely on a holster as their main carry should look elsewhere.

I may be looking to have one for temporary use. If I decide to buy on that premise, I will probably buy the Ace Case holster.

Type "R". Only $16.

Milt Sparks makes one, VMII. And keep in mind that the difference between a Sig Pro and the 2022 is the rail for the most part so many holsters on the market that are made for the Sig Pro will work for the 2022, but not all.

Also contact Ryan.

And ask him about it. He is very reputable and will shoot you straight.

Excellent looking products. Not what I am looking for as the holster would see very limited use. Could not justify the price.

For others, this may be the answer.

I think my issue is that, yes, I can have someone make a holster. I had a friend's friend make a nice leather IWB ... which as it turns out is just too big (no big loss). My deal is that I would like a kydex paddle holster for USPSA or whatever. I think I heard that Blade Tech is making one, I have yet to call and confirm. Oh ... I forgot that they have the finger lock ... so that won't really work.

I love the FRont Line Galco SkyOps clone from Israel. It not only fits my 2022, but it also fits all the more traditional style Sigs, as well. All leather, but good and stiff. The clip will go on my dress belts and on the wider tactical belt I use in casual clothes. A great price, too. You can find it here: http://www.zahal.org/groups/gun-hols...ries/?a=273743
