Any more than this and you'd be better off to get a P225.

That's about right, but depends on condition, presence of box, paperwork, test target, etc.

And, of course, whatever you're willing to pay.

What are they asking?

The P225/P6 is a great shooter and the ergonomics are fantastic. I like them so much that I've got 3.

I wanted to buy a P6 last year.

SIG customer service said parts are hard to come by, due to age of gun.

Great weapon, though. Good luck!

Most of the parts in the frame are common to the P226/P228/P229. The big issue is finding an extractor if it breaks.

Jump on it. I have one and I love it.

Depending on condition you might also check out the Sig shop...they have a very reasonable rehab offer, used to be around $145 for a complete takedown and workover, all new springs, and night sights. I had mine done and had them had them do a trigger job and for a single stack 9mm it's impossible to beat. (And yes, I probably have more into it than I can ever get...but I'm not planning on selling it and one of my boys will be a very, very grateful heir.

The original P225 is my favorite Sig. I wouldn't worry about a lack of parts. You can still get parts for much older guns like the Luger or Mauser C/96 Broomhandle.

Once you polish the feed ramp to avoid hollow nose ammo issue and do a trigger job you'll love it. The alternative is to wait for a 225 to show up which rectified those 2 issues.

I have both and they are ultra-reliable, wonderful shooters and swell CCW pistols.
