As most of you know I just ordered a P220 Elite with a threaded barrel. After looking at a few other models with a standard TB like the "Combat" I noticed that the sights on the the Elite are shorter than the Combats. Will my 220 Elite sights clear my suppressor? I should have realized this and asked ahead of time but I didn't even think about it. Obviously, I am new to suppressors. |

After finding a few articles about it online, yes it is true the sights on the 220 Elite w/ a tb will not clear a suppressor. What the heck is Sigs deal? Every time I turn around I'm realizing something Sig went cheap on with one of my guns. |

You're missing the point. The only guns that have sights that clear are PURPOSE built hosts, not the Elite Dark's or the Combat line of firearms. Sig used to make an S4 in the 220 and 226 that had tall sights but it has been discontinued. If you want a gun with sights that will clear in 45 - HK USP Tactical, AAC Nighthawk, or the FNP 45. Also - every can on the market - EVEN the Silencerco Ospreys of which I have a substantial amount of experience working with - will obscure standard sights like on the ED and the CBT. See through the can. If you can't do that, you have to get aftermarket sights. |

I've kind of already accepted it. I'll be ordering a set of sights when I get my can. I can't imagine trying to change my order with my gun shop for another gun. (Not that they would anyway, lol.) I've been contemplating a Gemtech for a while but why would you say that Silencerco is any better. (I imaging you have that opinion being a Silencerco dealer, lol.)

I had one guy change his order 5 times and then walk away from it. Stranger things have happened. Gemtech makes a good can, your statement has a premise that I am saying Silencerco is better than Gemtech which is not correct. They're all good cans. However the consumer response from the marketplace tells me that the Silencerco Osprey in 45 and the AAC TiRant in 45 are better contenders than the Gemtech Blackside. I'm actually a dealer for a bunch of lines. I should update that signature.

Here is the prices for the cans I have been looking at. I need one for 9, one for .45 and one for 5.56 MULTIMOUNT MM9 $500 Osprey 9/40/45 $700 and then Surefire MICRO-BK (black) $900 for my AR. Would you say these prices are acceptable? How would your prices compare? Thanks

I don't comment on pricing publicly but I will say I am very competitive among the large can retailers.

Could anyone provide a list of different makers of sights that will work on the 220 and clear a suppressor? Thanks!

I've got a pair of 220 adjustable combat night sights I took off my 220 Carry Elite Dark. Only a couple years old and still glow bright. Not sure if they were to clear a can or not but they are tall. If you are interested let me know. |

I know that this is an old thread however, in case someone else finds this at the top on google, I thought that I would point out that Sig does sell the high sights and on the P220, unlike some Sig pistols, they are an easy install. There are also aftermarket "suppressor sights" for the P220/P226.
