Checkered. Very conservative and effective!

You may want to see if you can find a gun shop that has some in stock and try them out before dropping $100 on grips that you may be less than thrilled with.

I concur. When I bought my p226 Extreme it came standard with the g10 grips. Frankly I did not like them and went ahead and ordered a set of stock black checkered Sig p226 grips from Sig. By the time my ten day mandatory wait was up (Calif Law even if you have a ccw - stupid) I had my new black grips. I picked up the new gun - took it home an swapped out the g10 grips. Then I began to have second thoughts. Reinstalled the g10 grips and decided to give them a chance. I have decided that they are great. Then I decided to order a set of g10 grips for my Ruger SR1911 cmd. I researched this for days and then placed my order. When I got them I discovered that they "texture" was much to agressive and uncomfortable to shoot. Ended up going back to the stock wooden grips Ruger put in the guns when they built it. Before you spend your money you need to try the grips.

I like the Piranha grips, and have them on most of my SIGs (the others are just waiting for funds to come available for new grips). They can be a little rough (love handle locators), but I wear an undershirt the majority of the time when I'm carrying, and when I'm trying to conceal under a t-shirt, I'm usually carrying something smaller than my SIG, so it's a bit of a moot point.

Keep an eye out for CDNN to have a sale--they have offered the SIG-branded G10s for over a 50% discount at times.

I like the checkered G10's because they look a lot like the SIG factory grips from the 70's and 80's.

Checkered will make it "feel" like a Legion. Anyone has the smooth? what's your opinion?

I like chain links. Grippy as the others, less so on clothes.

devldog181, here are examples of Checkered and Piranha G-10s. I personally think the Checkered were "sharper", but a little 600 wet or dry paper took care of that... it may have been the points of the diamonds were too sharp. Both give you a good grip, but I think the Piranha are the best.

I put the Piranhas in Green Mascus on my M11 Desert. They also make them in Grey/Black if you have the nitron. Love the look and the feel. Did the same on my MK...

I really like my checkered G10s, everyone said they can be rough, I wear IWB and have had no issues.
