New P220 SM today, has target?

Hello all,

I am a little new to Sig guns as my question will show.

My new P220 Super Match came in today. It came with a target, holes, date, shooter and sn of my weapon. Very cool.

I got a new P226 Legion a few months ago, it did not have a target.

Why the 220 and not the 226?

Thanks for your time,

Test targets are a "German" thing.

Not always true. Although most German made and proofed SIGs come with test targets, some don't.

-The no-rail P229 from October 2011
-The railed P229 from October 2011
-The second order of the stainless frame P228 from March 2013

I'm sure there are others, but those are the ones I have.

Most American SIGs do not come with test targets. But, the P220 Supermatch does.

Bottom line is this.
With German SIGs, expect test target 99% of the time.
With American SIGs, expect no test target 99% of the time.

Clear?
