I was debating between the All-Round version and the (SA) Tactical. Besides the obvious, what other pros/ cons would the Allround (SA/DA) have over the Tactical (if any)?
Either way, BOTH Sigs are beautiful Masterpieces. I have read/ seen a few vids on your 226 Tac Ops and I must say, I am VERY tempted. I know that the only differences are:
1) Barrel length
2) DA/SA (226) vs SA (X5)
3) Mag capacity (as you stated)
4) I believe the Grip should be slightly thinner since it doesn't have the De-cocker. (which I like).
Hopefully, my decision will be made in a few weeks. I will definitely keep you guys posted.
I don't have the Tactical, mine is the X5 Allround in .40. It really is a fine pistol. Smooth, heavy [too heavy for CC, or all day wear IMO], good sights, terrific trigger. Very well made.

Thanks! Questions for you and Don (I tried calling Sig for more info, but was told to check online for further info)
1) Is the guide rod Steel or Polymer?
2) Roughly how many parts are there Internally (Slide Only) within the slide? The reason I'm asking this is for cleaning purposes (when the time comes) for the slide after about 1,000 rounds or more through it.
3) As far as the adjustable sights, I understand it can be adjusted left to right or vice versa (back sights) for "windage" I believe the term is used....could be wrong....is there a proper formula for calculating such variables when calibrating on the range?
4) Do you two feel that the Beaver tail actually helps with the Rise? Silly I know. Sorry about that.
5) How much was installation of SRT through sig? Or can any gunsmith install that? If so, would it void any warranties?
I am sure I have more questions to come in the near future. Thanks for any feedbacks given. I am hoping to have it xmas

1. the guide rod is metal.
2. I don't know the number of total parts in the slide --- the manual only suggest you take out the spring - guide rod & barrel for cleaning ... there are other parts in the slide .. but that's all I clean.
3. My All Around has totally adjustable sights - up / down as well as side to side. Using a small screw drive to get it done.
4. I own a lot of guns with beaver tails .. I bought it because of the beaver tail .. the beaver tail helps me get a better grip faster .. protects me from slide bite .. and hold the barrel down when the gun recoils after a shot.
5. My All Around came with a SRT trigger - I've had a SRT trigger added by my gunsmith to several of my other Sig's .. any gun smith can do it.
I hope this helps.
