Don't worry about the finish if you're considering buying an Equinox for serious use.

ETA: the gun is in its second Super Tuck, after I actually wore out the original and Crossbreed replaced it under their lifetime guarantee, with a new one, about a month ago.
Thanks! I just loved the looks of that thing too much! Woohoo!

God, I'm sick! I need therapy!
Now I have two P227s! The temptation was just too much!

Who cares! I'm going to trade off that p.o.s Para-USA Black Ops 14.45 double-stack "1911" (flush-fit mag with 14+1 capacity of .45ACP). Maybe if Para-USA finally, some day, possibly, just maybe, with any luck (and a miracle), gets their act together after having moved from Canada way back when now, I'll give them another chance. Because I really LOVE that gun - when the damned thing wouldn't jam.
Now watch them come out with one in all stainless elite in January and make me want another!

If she knows nothing about guns, tell it just cost $200.00. She'll believe it.

That would be a new year. You can justify it by saying it's been a year since you bought one...

But I could not justify the spending 1200 on a plastic gun bc I already have few ploy guns sitting in the safe. Matter of fact, I just purchased Glock 30s 2 months ago on Gunbroker.com as a CC/backup gun. with that purchase I thought that was gonna be my last gun purchase of the year and for a long while. Still the thought of owning a HK 45 constantly floated around in my head, I would often mentally debate the pros and cons of it. And then, I come across this beautiful gun, Sig p227 Equinox on gunbroker.com. I just loss my senses and hit the buy button without thinking it through. There goes my fanboy lust for the HK45...This will be my first Sig Sauer Firearm that I'll own. I heard lots a great stuff about sigs for a long time, esp., the p226,229. Since, the p227 will be like those platform with the addition of .45 acp, 14rd extended magazine, and threaded barrel for suppressor/silencer in a all metal construction. I know I'll be happy with it, but the problem I face now,is telling my GF that I spent 1100 on a new toy without letting her know.
Congrats It is a real looker. I'm confident as a past USP owner that you will like the Sig.
I don't get the threaded barrel part though. I never saw a Equinox come with a threaded.
If I was going to go the bucks for a suppressor, I would get a threaded barrel after so I could go either way.

No threaded barrel on the Equinox or the three cataloged models. Sig showed a "TACOPS" config at SHOT 2013 from what I understand that had a threaded batrel and tall sights for a suppressor. Not been released. Not in catalog yet.
And 14 round mags not yet available. But maybe soon.

Don't know. Haven't heard and I haven't compared.
It may. Would be cheaper for Sig to be able to use common barrels.

The company that sold it has more and they will give it to you for the same price it went at auction - $919.00. I bought one from him the next day.

The threaded barrel was just a add...That's what I envision on my p227 equinox. but, I know all those will come in time with the aftermarket sector, they always do and plus, the guys at Sig Sauer will release those extra's bc they know the demand will be there. Im assuming but I have a feeling the threaded barrel for p220 will fit the gun, should be a easy drop in swap. Your gonna see lots of tweaks and representations of this model p227. Only time will tell.

Get yours while it's hot!!

I think CyldeArmory.com sell their p 227 equinox for $889.95
